Record number of Christmas hampers delivered to schools

Over two days in December, a team of our amazing volunteers packed 247 Christmas hampers and delivered them to our 11 primary schools for distribution to families who need a little extra help this Christmas. That’s 2.3tonnes packed into 494 bags and delivered to 11 primary schools by 21 volunteers. Each child received two Christmas bags. One containing store cupboard essentials. The other with special Christmas extras to go under the Christmas tree. Here’s some before, during and after photos of this marvellous team effort.

All of this was only possible because of the generous donations of both food and money from local people, organisations and businesses. We want to say the biggest thank you to them all, and to our wonderful volunteers. #EndingHungerTogether
