About
About our foodbank
Here is an introduction to our project.
Our foodbank was founded in 2012 by St. Nicholas church, Alcester, working together towards stopping hunger in Alcester, Studley and our surrounding communities. Although in 2025 we left the church and became a charity in our own right, we retain strong links with all our churches, as with all our partner organisations.
On 5 September the Charities Commission registered us as a CIO. Charitable Incorporated Organisation. We are governed by our Board of Trustees who set the direction and priorities for our foodbank and Trussell transferred the franchise to our new charity on 20 November, 2025. Through the dedication of our amazing volunteers we will continue to provide emergency food to people in crisis.
But we’re also growing.
Over the coming years, we’ll be developing new community hubs, warm, welcoming spaces where anyone can access practical support, advice, signposting, and opportunities to build confidence and independence.
The hubs will bring partners together under one roof to help tackle the root causes of food poverty — whether that’s low income, debt, ill health, isolation or other challenges. We want everyone who comes to us to feel valued, respected and supported, not just during a crisis but beyond it.
Our Vision
A future where no one in Alcester, Studley or our surrounding communities goes hungry
Our Mission
